Saab Cars- Generated From jets : New saab 2009 new cars

Saab Cars- Generated From jets
by Brian Hamsons

Saab: promoting its car models: -
Saab is marketing the cars by using the campaigns which was related to the aircraft maker of Sweden. The main motive behind this kind of campaigning of the car models is to popularize the car models and to emphasize on the fact that there cars had been born from jets. Another reason is that these cars have got the design of the aircraft aerodynamic. These kinds of tactics are adopted by the company to attract the people by saying that same technology is used in the manufacturing of the cars which is used in the planes.
Facts about Saab Company: -
The first automobile from the company was made in year 1949 which is currently under the General Motors which is now the largest automaker in the globe. Besides this, the jet division of Saab is separate one which is still owned by Swedes. So people are still confused whether GM and Saab are working together or they both have their own ways in the manufacturing of the vehicles.
Car models of Saab: -
Saab had been a leader in the production of the car models which are unique and serving the needs of the people. Recently the company had manufactured a concept car which is composed of the traditional doors. These doors are very much similar to the doors which are used in the fighter jets so that they can form a canopy. Whole car is made up of the light materials so that fuel economy can also be maintained. Besides this, company had also decided to use the ethanol instead of using the gasoline.
The engine used in the models of Saab is V6 engine which is providing the 400 hp and is present in dual quantity in order to enhance the performance of the car. The production of these car models are increasing and people are more enthusiastic about the generation of the new version of cars.
History of the Saab: -
The starting of the company was in the year 1937 which was soon after the outbreak of II world war. During the initial stages the company was into the production of the jet air planes which were used in fights. But after the 1949, Saab introduced the manufacturing of the unique and high quality well engineered cars. The main concept in the designing of the car is the aerodynamic nature which is used in the jet planes.
After then, Saab entered into the production of the safe and innovative cars as manufactured by Volvo. They had improved their technology to produce the heavy bumpers, high impact doors, engines which are turbo charged and other designer features which are now famous all over the globe.

Will Hydrogen Cars Replace Hybrid Cars? : Auto show 2009 motor show 2008

Will Hydrogen Cars Replace Hybrid Cars?
by Wendy Gorman

Wouldn't you just know it, just as the Hybrid Car begins to make its presence felt as the saviour of tomorrows motorist (and the world) along comes another young pretender to the throne - The hydrogen fuelled car. Some people say that hydrogen cars will have pure refeshment water on tap. We shall see, in theory it could happen with a Hydrogen Car but they are way behind the Hybrid Car in their development program and forecasting is impossible. Hydrogen cars do however, have the potential to be better cars than Hybrid Cars in several ways so we need to compare their known characteristics.
Hydrogen cars use a chemical reaction rather than a burning process for motive power
Conventional cars burn fossil fuel and Hybrid Cars use smaller amounts of the same fuel to charge their batteries. Hydrogen Cars do not use fossil fuel at all. Instead Hydrogen Cars depend upon a chemical reaction between Hydrogen and Oxygen that produces a lot of energy plus pure water residue - a completely pollution free process. Hence the earlier reference to water on tap in Hydrogen cars. It is not possible for Hybrid Cars to achieve the same thing without breaking the Laws of Chemistry.
The reaction process in Hydrogen Cars produces up to three times the energy output from the equivalent gasoline based process in conventional and hybrid cars.
Hydrogen fuel burns both hotter and faster than fossil based fuel and is therefore much more efficient. In theory therefore it should be possible to design Hydrogen Cars that canreach incredible speeds with as yet unrealised acceleration compared to Hybrid Cars. There is simply no way that Hybid Cars, dependent as they are (in all their forms) on battery power, will be able to compete on this level.
The question arises "Is the hydrogen car concept for real?
Many people believe that Hybrid Cars reflect reality much more than Hydrogen Cars do. Hybrid Cars exist on our roads now and have already cut pollution emmissions by some 30% to 50%. Why then do we need to indulge in a possible flight of fancy such as the Hydrogen Car by investing vast sums of money to try to achieve the impossible?
The Hydrogen used in Hydrogen Cars is defined as a fuel carrier. It is not considered to be a fuel source in itself.
Indeed, it is hoped by some proponents of this type of fuel process, that in the future it will be possible to produce hydrogen with the use of such sources as wind power and other renewable energy sources. That means that hydrogen has to be produced from other sources. And people are hoping that hydrogen will be able to be produced from things such as wind power or other types of renewable sources. Right now, it looks like all we have is natural gas. That is the most efficient way to get hydrogen. And if that's the case, then there's no need to make hydrogen cars. Hybrid cars already cut down on how much gas people use. Who needs hydrogen cars that may end up costing us more in natural gas?
It will be hard create a lot of stations to fuel hydrogen cars
People are saying there is an overwhelming amount of challenges when it comes to creating the multitudes of hydrogen fueling stations that would be needed if millions of people suddenly started owning hydrogen cars. Hybrid cars use gas. And we already have gas stations.
But president Bush has made it clear that he wants hydrogen cars to be on the roads in significant numbers by the year 2020. So it seems that those who oppose hydrogen cars might just have to hold their breath and see if hydrogen cars actually live up to the lofty promises people associate with them. If they don't live up to their promises, people will probably start running back to hybrid cars in droves. And that's not too bad. Hybrid cars or hydrogen cars, one of them is going to get us to cleaner air.

Can You Really Use WATER for GAS? : Auto show 2009 motor show 2008

Can You Really Use WATER for GAS?
by Derek Wray
With gas prices well over $4.00 a gallon and predicted to go over $6.00 a gallon, it was only a matter of time before people started searching for ways to increase their gas mileage. As I was researching ways to increase gas mileage, I learned about a relatively unknown way to significantly increase any car's gas mileage by using water to supplement the fuel with hydrogen for a better fuel burn. However, the idea of running your car on water sounded absurd so I was skeptical about this "simple technology" These are just some of the claims made: Water fuel will enable your vehicle to become at least 40% more fuel efficient. Water fuel will boost performance while producing cleaner emissions. You can receive IRS refunds owed to you by law for using green technology in your vehicle! 100% safe/legal - guaranteed! Works with plain tap water Enjoy incredible fuel savings. Could this be real or just another internet scam... This is what I discovered. Will running your car on water really work? Well, not exactly. Your car will still use gas as it's primary source of combustion. You will be supplementing that fuel with hydrogen. What you are going to be doing with Water Fuel technology is creating an extremely cost-effective hydrogen powered hybrid (Water Hybrid) by taking advantage of the atomic constituents of water molecules, hydrogen and oxygen (H2O). The conversion to a water hybrid uses inexpensive parts that you can find at any local hardware store such as Home Depot or Lowes. When setup, a small amount of power is used from your car's battery to seperate the water molecules into HHO gas. This gas is then fed into the intake of your vehicle creating a more efficient burn for your fuel. This is why you can achieve significant increases in gas mileage. You generate free energy by ENHANCING the EFFICIENCY of your poorly designed engine!!! Your car engine currently uses 20% of the energy stored in that expensive fuel - and WASTES 80% for heat, pollution (unburned fuel!) and vibration. HHO gas is very stable and burns incredibly well as a significant power source and the conversion really is simple to set up with the guides that are floating around the internet today, however many people have doubts such as: Is this process safe? Water fuel is safe for your car's engine. Water Fuel (HHO gas) is supplemental to fuel and will actually create a cooler burn that causes less wear and tear on your car's engine. This technology works with all vehicles but it works best with? Water fuel technology works with any kind of gasoline or diesel powered vehicle, however it is geared towards fuel economy, not minimizing power loss. For this reason, vehicles such as giant SUVs and trucks will not see as large of an increase in fuel economy as lighter, less demanding vehicles... In conclusion, water fuel technology does work and can save 40% or more in fuel costs while significantly increasing your vehicles gas mileage. The technology is simple to install and will not adversly affect your engine nor does it void your warranty.

What Are The Two Different Forms Of Hybrid Cars? : : Motor show pretty girl show 2008

What Are The Two Different Forms Of Hybrid Cars?
by: Jackson Porter

Currently, there is a lot of interest in hybrid cars due to the gas prices of recent years. There are two forms of hybrid cars. The first is a parallel hybrid, where there is both a gas and electric supply attached to the transmission of the car and the car is able to use both sources when running. The second is a series hybrid, where the gas portion powers a generator and the generator supplies electricity for the motor to run. These both improve the efficiency of the car, which is why hybrids are favored today. The only drawback for some consumers is the size.
The reason for this is that smaller cars help maintain the efficiency of the car. With a big car the engine is heavier and so when speeding or traveling up an incline, more energy is needed. Further more, because of the size, the hybrid car has an engine that requires less energy to perform its tasks. Then there is the cylinder displacement, which in a large vehicle takes more power. And in terms of cylinders, the smaller hybrid car doesn’t need as many to perform.
The Honda Insight is one of the smallest hybrid cars on the market. It was designed to carry two people. There is hardly any space for cargo or luggage. This design improves the fuel efficiency considerably, but the lack of space is a drawback.
What Are The Two Different Forms Of Hybrid Cars? by: Jackson Porter
The Toyota Prius has more space than the Insight. It can fit more than four people and the hatchback trunk can carry more cargo or luggage. This design has won Toyota awards and honors but for a family car, today’s consumers are used to having much more room.
Then there is the Honda Civic Hybrid. This car is the same size as a regular Honda Civic. The compartment spaces are maximized as much as possible in this model. Again, for the consumer who is used to driving an SUV or a minivan, this may still be not enough.
And for those consumers, there are some SUV and minivan hybrids available, however they don’t perform well. The efficiency has been compromised by the size. The price tag of these cars is a couple of thousands of dollars more than the regular models so in the end it may not be worth it in terms of gas mileage. So if you are buying a hybrid, it is best to go for the smaller cars and if you are looking for something larger, a hybrid may not be worth it.

Repairing Your Hybrid Car :: Auto show pretty girl motor show 2008

Repairing Your Hybrid Car : New honda CRV cars 2009
by Thomas Jones
You look around while your stopped at a traffic light and realize that your surrounded by hybrids. Then it hits you that hybrids really are the new wave of the coming future. Hybrids offer many features that the conventional car does not have. But no matter how advances hybrids are they are still expensive to purchase and repair, just like any other car. Some repairs and problems with a hybrid need to be done by a hybrid certified mechanic. Before you make the leap and buy a new hybrid you might want to take a look at two of the major repairs you might have to deal with after you make your purchase.Engine and Motor Repairs Just like conventional cars hybrids also have a gasoline only internal combustion engine. During the life of your car there will probably be a point where your car will leak oil and will then be in need of repair. You might have a point where your hybrid’s motor will not babel to turn over or the connective system that runs your wiring could become loose and will need to be repairs. Because unlike the conventional car hybrids have both an electric motor and a gasoline engine the make up that lies under the hood of a hybrid is quite different from a conventional car. While a hybrid is great in so many ways a regular mechanic might not be qualified or have the ability to service your hybrids engine or motor. The Battery PackIf your used to driving a conventional car you know that they run on a lead acid battery. When it dies you can usually replace it easily yourself. You just have to purchase on at the local auto part store, purchase a new battery and replace it in only a few hours. Sometimes conventional car battery issues can even be solved by simply giving it a jump start. Hybrids on the other hand are not so simple to fix. The ability to hook your car up to another vehicle to get a jump is not an option for a hybrid. The hybrid does not come equipt with a place to hook the cars together and if you try to do so you will more than likely end up ruining both cars, permanently. If the battery pack in a hybrid fails you only have two options to fix it. Both of these options involve a specially trained mechanic. You might only have one cell inside the hybrid battery pack that is malfunctioning or it could be the whole battery pack that is malfunctioning. If it is only one cell in your battery pack that will only cost you about $180. If it is the entire battery pack your look at a cost of about $4,000 or even more. It depends on the type of hybrid you own. It takes time for mechanics to become trained for all the new parts of technology that are coming into our world. Over the years things will change and there will be more mechanics available to hybrid cars. But for now the pool is quite limited.

A Uk Used Audi Is Not Hard To Find : motor show auto show 2008

A Uk Used Audi Is Not Hard To Find
by Louis Rix

Audi is well known for producing cars of quality that are well designed and are long lasting. With this in mind when considering buying a second hand car the Audi is a good choice. A UK used Audi is not hard to find, there are many good models out there and it's just a matter of finding the most suitable model for your particular needs.
Knowing a little about the background of the manufacturer of the car is helpful when buying a car. To start with and this should not put you off, Audi is a German company which was founded in 1899. The foundations which were laid down during this early time still remain in the design of the Audis of today even though they have evolved tremendously. Some of the most popular models of Audi in the UK include the TT, A4, A3, A Cabriolet and the Audi Quattro.
All of these models should be considered when looking for a UK used Audi. Of course the one you choose would depend on your personal preferences and to some extent how much you are willing to spend.
If you are looking for a luxury sports car then the Audi TT should be given serious consideration. You can choose the Coupe model or the popular Roadster form. The TT name actually stands for "Tourist trophy" and this is a race that is held annually. The TT was first produced back in 1999 where it was classed as having a bold and unique design. This is something that many other manufacturers have strived to copy and follow.
Needing full sized luxury? then one of your best options is the Audi Q7 SUV. This model offers 3 rows of seats and is considered to be very competent in its handling on the road. This model was first produced in 2006 and features 4-wheel drive, as do the majority of SUVs and comes with five doors.
On the lookout for a large family car then the Audi A4 should be given serious thought. Originally brought to light in 1995 the car is so popular that continuous enhancements have been made throughout the years. As the car is family orientated the focus is heavily on safety. If safety features are the most important aspect when looking to buy a used Audi then look no further.
If looking for an off-road vehicle that can handle just about anything that is thrown in its path then the Audi all road is a fine choice. The all road comes fully equipped with the Quattro system that Audi is famous for and comes with the choice of either diesel or petrol models.
The Audi A6 is a perfect choice for the executive; it is classed as a mid-range car and gives you the choice of a 5 door or a 4 door sedan. First introduced in 1994 Audi have kept the car bang up to date with all the safety features and enhancements Audi are known for.
All of the above are great models and should be considered when searching for a UK used Audi. Of course you do have to follow certain guidelines and remember safety aspects to get the best out of buying second hand.

The Real Story of the American Classic Car the Studebaker Automobile : motor show 2009

The Real Story of the American Classic Car the Studebaker Automobile
by Terry Reeves
The Real Story of the American Classic Car the Studebaker Automobile "Was it coming or going?" or the "Bullet-nose car", was what they were saying about the American Classic Car the Studebaker of the '50's. The Studebaker family had hired a French designer "Loewy" to design a car to compete with "Fords, Chevrolets and Plymouths" that have become what we call the Classic Cars of the 1950's. Many of these Classic Cars including Studebaker Automobiles can be seen at moat of the Classic Car Auctions around the country at any given time. The famous Barrett-Jackson Classic Car Auction usually has several on their list of Classic Cars for Sale every year. A list of the most sought after Studebaker models would include the 1963 Studebaker Daytona, 62 Studebaker, Studebaker, Studebaker Cruiser, Studebaker Starliner, Studebaker Golden Hawk, Studebaker Skyhawk, 1950 Studebaker Coupe, Studebaker Pick-up, Studebaker S10, Studebaker Avnti, and the Studebaker 1913 Runabout. The Studebaker family produced wagons for the military during the Civil War which became the Base for their automobile production that began in the very early 1900's. By the 1920's the company was well known for having a very good automobile. Then in the early part of World War II they began produce equipment under contract for the military which included B-17 Flaying Fortress engines, the dependable M29 and M29C Weasel Amphibious Landing Craft. The contract for the US6x6 military transport Truck lead to the production to their first pick-up truck the M-series that appeared in 1941 and was an immediate hit with the American farmer. The company, however by the mid 1960's was heading for the end of its life in the automotive field because they had lost their reputation as an innovative designer of durable, rugged and reliable vehicles. The Studebaker family history dated back to the 18th century in Germany. The Staudenbeckers were blade makers in the City of Solingen, which was famous for its cutlery. However, the Staudenbeckers felt that it lacked the freedoms they desired. They had heard and thought about eventually immigrating to the new world, but this was not easy. Although it took over five years they eventually immigrated to the new world. This was the beginning of a change in profession for them and eventually a new industry in the new world. In 1836, when they were finally free to move to the world and because of the immigration clerks, unfamiliarity with German, their name was recorded with many variations, eventually becoming Studebaker. In the early days they were blacksmiths, then moving on to wagon making. Even then, trusting there abilities, they settled on a design which became world famous as the Conestoga Wagon. One son, however, John Mohler Studebaker, chose to make his fortune in the Gold Rush of California. However, when discovering that the good land was gone, he decided to provide a service instead. Hence he designed a wheelbarrow becoming known as Wheelbarrow Johnny. These rugged and sturdy wheelbarrows were sold to the miners until the end of the gold rush. Between the Conestoga Wagon of the father and the wheelbarrow of the son, the Studebaker family became know for producing durable and reliable items. Consequently the Studebaker Wagons became legendary and the family was well on their way to a place in history. They didn't begin producing automobiles until 1902. However when the company sent a wire to President Wilson offering to make all of its facilities available for war production, once Studebaker became famous. Because of their war efforts of turning out wagons, trucks, ambulances, gun carriages and other items they earned a reputation for rugged, durable vehicles. This led to increased sales and prosperity for the company. There failure to invest in new equipment after the war was the beginning of the end that eventually led to their downfall. For a while the development of the " Studebaker Lark" helped keep the company's head above water, but it wasn't sufficient. They tried again with the "Studebaker Avanti" in '64. Mechanical difficulties caused it to fail. They also built a few cars with Superchargers installed on their V8's but even that was not enough to save them. Although not considered a Classic Muscle Car it was fast for it's time. As a result they never again returned to having the reliable reputation of their ancestors. But if you are looking for a Studebaker Classic Car to restore any of the following form the list above would be a great place to start, a 1963 Studebaker Daytona, a 62 Studebaker, 39 Studebaker, Studebaker Cruiser, 1950 Studebaker Coupe, any Studebaker Pickup, Studebaker Skyhawk, Studebaker S10, Studebaker Starliner, Studebaker Golden Hawk, and last but not least the Famous 1913 Runabout. If you are thinking a "Where Can I Buy Studebaker Car" a couple of places come to mind. You can often find a Studebaker for Sale at CustomsandConcepts.com under Cars for Sale or you can check with the Studebaker Drivers Club for more information. Contrary to belief, Studebaker, never did go into bankruptcy. However its days as an expert in the field of automotives were over in 1966. It merged with Worthington Industries, who merged with McGraw-Edison which was taken over by Cooper Industries. Cooper still owns the rights to the Studebaker nameplate but has said that it has "no plans for its use in the foreseeable future".
